Crunchy, not Crazy

Screen Shot 2014-12-20 at 7.29.38 AMFirst, I’d like to welcome you to my blog! Welcome :) Second, I’ll introduce myself. My name is Cherí. I am a stay at home mom. I have been married for almost three years and we have 4 month old baby boy who is the center of our world. I breastfeed exclusively, cloth diaper religiously, co-sleep occasionally, love a good DIY project, and (try to) eat clean. We have three dogs, five chickens, and about a thousand bees. I’m hoping my blog will be a good way to document my activities and memories as well as sharing my strategies for my partially crunchy life.
You might (or might not) be wondering why I’m only partially crunchy. I’m going to tell you either way! I have some majorly crunchy tendencies (see above). But I also trust science. Most “crunchy” mom groups shun doctors, vaccinating, circumsision and about anything else scientific. I, on the other hand, LOVE doctors, I will circumsize any son I give birth to and I could talk your ear off about the importance of vaccinating. If you can show me scientific evidence for something (REAL evidence, not anecdotal or something you found on a unreliable, late night Google search) I won’t question it. As the title of my blog (and this post) states, I am crunchy, but I’m not crazy.
If you made it this far, thanks for reading! I hope you will find something in my blog to make you want to keep reading. I hope to reach other mothers who are also just trying to succeed at this crazy thing called parenting.
